CROW HILL OPEN 2017

Crow Hill Open 2017 was held at Murder of Crows Barbell Club!  If you have never visited the place, it's a must! It is located on 919 Bergen Street in Brooklyn, New York.

Crow Hill Open was held over two days.  Saturday was for the men and Sunday the women lifted!  Both days held an Elite Session where weightlifters competed for cash prizes. It was a weekend of weightlifters and photos!  My two favorite things!

If this is the first time visiting Everyday Lifters, you won't find information on who placed or who PR'd their snatch or clean and jerk.  The only reason I don't share information like that on here is because I am convinced that my brain is not capable of remembering those kinds of facts.  I barely remember where I left my keys.

But here are the sort of things I remember after shooting an event...

Sophia's mom loves to cheer on her daughter and was worried she would be asked to leave because of her screaming. LOL I was able to hear her from the warm up area.

Nicole tends to flip her hair before touching the barbell.

Danny likes to do a dance shuffle after he successfully completes a lift.

Ryan must listen to music as it gets closer for his name to be called to the platform.

I can go on and on.

For the exception of Ryan, all the people I mentioned above, I met once and will forever remember those details about them. But ask me how much they lifted...ha, good luck!

Here you will find photos!  Enjoy!

Black and White

For this post I wanted add only black and white photos because I feel inspired by the movie "The Crow".  (All time favorite btw).  The facility had one area for the spectators, with the competition platform, and then a separate room for warming up!  Everyone who I spoke to loved the set up and ample space!
