Let's get started with Featured Everyday Lifter: Ross.
The hashtag #LETROSSSHINE has been a hashtag I've seen many times used on Instagram. I was often left with the question of: Who is Ross? and why are people wearing shirts with his face on it?
Up until recently, I knew very little about Ross. When I first started at New York Weightlifting Academy, Ross would occasionally drop in, to work on some things. He would enter the gym very much the same way; a subtle hi, a big hug for his coach and a well kept beard. Folks from the "Carpet Days" loved it when he dropped in.
As time went on, I found that Ross was spending more time training with Danny and calling NYWA his home. But I still was left with the question of: Who is Ross?
When I posted the idea behind The Featured Everyday Lifters' Project, Ross jumped on the opportunity to be featured. I thought, "Yes, I get to touch his beard and ask him all about his shirts." (Yes, I know, this falls into the category of giving Max Lang a piggy back ride.)
Soon after the interview, make sure to see Ross' PR of *107 kilos (CORRECTION NOT 170kilos) in the Clean and Jerk while training. Hope to see him in Savannah Georgia, for the 2017 National Masters.
So... Who is Ross?
A proud father, a gentleman, a weightlifter, a July Baby, a hard worker, and a Brotha Next Door With a Dope Ass Beard.
