Who is this guy? I'm serious, who is he?  He cheered like this for all his teammates.  He was so passionate and his cheering was contagious.  Awesome energy...

This weightlifter I had to highlight.  Your eyes aren't fooling you.  Yes, she is on her tippy toes.  She wanted to complete the clean portion of her lift so bad.  The entire room could feel it in their bones.

Below: Black and White Photography with a focus on weightlifters doing something that normally gets overlooked.  They are focusing.

One Hour and Few Days Later

This photo took me about an hour to edit.  I love the way her hair looks. Seems like it will move in the photograph and you can almost see the lift completed.  I've had to come back to this photo a few times to able to get her hair and highlights just right.  I will probably come  back to it in a few days.  Why? I'm relentless and want this photo to look a certain way and I'm never satisfied.

Weightlifting meets could never happen without the help of judges and the folks that organize them.  Gary Valentine, Team Connecticut Head Coach, runs on average about 7 sanctioned USAW competitions a year.

I love to hear from all of you.  Please leave your comments below.  Often I don't receive your comments on Facebook.  All the best to you guys and will see you again!
